Zeke is a native North Carolinian, born in Chapel Hill and raised in Pittsboro. He was introduced to real estate at an early age, assisting his father in the construction business, where he learned the basics of residential building. His father transitioned into real estate and Zeke became interested, helping out where he could. Once finished with high school, Zeke began working towards a degree in electrical engineering. Restaurant work on nights and weekends to help pay for college, where he learned the fine art of customer service. Graduating from the electronics program in 2001, earning a AAS (Associate in Applied Science) in Electronics from CCCC (Central Carolina Community College) in Sanford.
At this point, Zeke decided to take a break from his studies, continuing his career in the service industry, working as a waiter and manager for La Residence (Chapel Hill) and The Granary at Fearrington Village (Pittsboro). Fun fact: Zeke & Kelly met at La Residence in 2010. A couple years go by and he returned to college with hopes of completing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, studying at UNC at Chapel Hill and UNC at Charlotte. After a couple semesters, Zeke realized that this was not the path for him. In 2013, along with his girlfriend, Kelly, he decided to take the pre-license real estate course. Completing this class and passing the NC Real Estate Exam, Zeke received his license and began practicing real estate in June 2014. Then in July on a trip to Chicago, he proposed to Kelly...and She said "YES"!! They were married in Pittsboro on May 02, 2015.
When he's not working, you can find Zeke enjoying time with Kelly, and their dog, Enzo. Days on the Jordan Lake spent boating, wake-boarding and sunbathing, working it out at the gym, playing tennis and ping pong(their favorite) or hiking through the woods; they love to stay active. Zeke is an avid cook and enjoys preparing a wide variety of cuisine, picking up many tips, tricks and recipes from his many years in the restaurant industry. Another hobby for most of his life has been keeping fish. He currently has 3 African Cichlids, which are a very intelligent, active and colorful freshwater variety.
Zeke is an active member of his community and enjoys volunteering. He currently serves as Vice-President of his HOA, runs an Adopt-A-Highway program which removes trash and debris along Highway 15-501 south of Chapel Hill. He participates in the Fix-A-Home series, renovating homes for those in need, and when he has time, especially during the holidays, collecting coats and serving food to the homeless and less fortunate at the Durham Rescue Mission. He also spends time cleaning the shoreline of Jordan Lake, a local water source and recreation area, of which he and Kelly are very fond of and frequent often.
Zeke has been trained and inspired by some of the best minds in the real estate industry, and he uses this experience to prepare and guide his clients through each step of the process. For the last FOUR years in a row - Inc. 500 has included Fathom Realty as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the nation - from all industries! And most recently, we were named as the fastest growing privately held residential real estate company in the nation. Although that is wonderful recognition for us, it hasn't changed who we are or what has fueled our growth. Our motto certainly isn't original, "Whoever wants to be great must become a servant," but more and more people say they find it refreshing. As a company, the fact is we still simply exist to serve. If we get that part right, we believe growth will continue to take care of itself.
What does it look like at Fathom to "serve?" By providing our real estate professionals with support, technology, and training while encouraging, mobilizing, and equipping them to serve you, we have an atmosphere that considers others more important than ourselves. After all, we want you to experience the highest level of integrity and service when you need it most: when you are making a real estate decision.
Our goal is to ensure you are thoroughly served throughout your Fathom experience. Perhaps you can go out and do the same for someone that needs it as well? Let's change the world together (at least our corners of it!).
Thank you for placing your trust in Fathom Realty and God bless!
"Whoever wants to be great must become a servant.” Matthew 20:26
